Organizations’ Capacity:

1.Produced a state of the LGBTIQ+ movement in Kenya report titled, “Lived Realities, Imagined Futures: Baseline Study on LGBTIQ+ Organizing in Kenya” Report commissioned by UHAI.

2. Generated a State of HIV and AIDS among MSM and Transgendered Individuals: Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania” Report commissioned by HIVOS Foundation.

3. Conducting a rapid needs assessment and scoping exercise on the intersection of mental health and harm reduction in three East African countries, Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania. Research commission by OSIEA/OSF.

4. Conducted a Security and Safety Situation Analysis of LGBQ, SOGIE Defenders and Human Rights Organizations Working on SOGIE issues in Kenya that generated a report and a safety and security guide for LGBQ, SOGIE Defenders and Human Rights Organizations working on SOGIE issues in Kenya for the National Coalition for Human Rights Defender (NCHRD).

5. Provided continuous technical support including organizational development for various organizations including the African Sex Worker Alliance (ASWA) re-organization process.

6. Technical assistance and capacity assessment conducted for sex workers and LGBTIQ+ organizations in Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda (2011) commissioned by UHAI.

7. Capacity and organizational support to various organizations including Coast Sex Worker Alliance (COSWA), Kisumu Sex Worker Alliance (KISWA) (2017)

8. Developed and piloted the Mystery Client Methodology for Monitoring Health Services to Sex Workers Handbook in Kenya and Zimbabwe. Commissioned by aidsfonds.

9. Conducting research titled Analysis and documentation of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression-Sex Characteristics norm shift in Kenya, commissioned and supported by American Jewish World Service (AJWS) (2020).

10. Engagement and development of various organizations strategic plans including for UHAI-EASHRI Strategic Plan 2020 – 2025; ASWA Strategic plan 2020 – 2024; East Africa Visual Artists Organization (Uganda)plan 2020 – 2025.

11. Currently co-creating an East African LGBTQI+ Leadership Academy with support from OSIEA.
